Acts 1:8 Project Proposal is based on Jesus’ command to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. The Acts 1:8 committee, consisting of Dennis Deck (member of the board), Michele Derheim (member of the missions committee), and Pastor Ron, has carefully and prayerfully selected mission projects to bless other ministries and advance God’s kingdom. Pastor Ron explained these to the church today, and on Sunday, May 16th, the congregation will be asked fro approve investing $30,000 towards these projects.
Pending congregational approval, we will have a missions celebration on Sunday, June 13th, with an extended service to celebrate what God has done through Community Bible Church.
The mission ministries proposed are:
Judea (local)
Manchester Community Resource Center $6,500
Marriage Enrichment Weekend hosted by Community Bible Church in Coordination with Bridge of Life Ministry $3,500.
Judea and Samaria (US based ministries)
Jocelyn Boote (from Manchester) in Eatonville Washington in missionary pilot training $3,333.
Women at Risk International (W.A.R.) an international ministry based in Wyoming, MI. This donation is to help with their 9-1-1 call center as abuse cases, domestic violence and human trafficking cases have skyrocketed during the Covid pandemic, $3,333.

To the ends of the earth (Overseas missions)
